Full-Time Position
Bethany Care Society is seeking a full-time Site Manager for CollegeSide Gardens. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the building, customer service for residents, staff supervision and community relations. The Site Manager will ensure compliance with supportive living standards, legislation and agreements. Lease-up of suites, seamless turnover and exceptional customer service will be part of everyday duties.
You possess a Business Degree or Property Management Certificate combined with 5-7 years of leasing and property management experience. Marketing and/or sales experience in seniors' housing or services is an asset.

Rental Leasing Specialist—Contract Position
(min. 3 months)
Working with the Site Manager, the Rental Leasing Specialist will develop and implement a marketing plan for the successful leasing of suites at CollegeSide Gardens. You will respond to inquiries, maintain presence at the Gardens office, and prepare and finalize leasing documents with potential residents. You will actively promote CollegeSide Gardens through community contacts and presentations. You enjoy working with seniors and have a strong knowledge of the senior’s housing market in Red Deer. You are energetic, self motivated and a fast learner who loves a challenge.
You have 3-5 years experience in seniors’ housing, rental/leasing, or property management. Marketing and sales experience is an asset. This is a temporary contract position beginning in February 2010. Flexible hours such as evening and weekend work is necessary. Fund Development Associate – Central Alberta
Bethany Care Foundation
Bethany Care Foundation was launched as a registered charity on April 1, 2004. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of business and community leaders. The Foundation is dedicated exclusively to accepting and raising funds to support Bethany Care Society. Bethany Care Foundation shares in the continuation of Bethany's legacy of care and advocacy for seniors with a focus on providing financial support for the delivery of quality care and services to residents and clients of the Bethany Care Society.
Position Summary
The Fund Development Associate works with the Executive Director, the Senior Director of Development, the Foundation Board, Site Administrators and Family Council to develop and implement fundraising plans for CollegeSide Gardens Capital Campaign at Bethany CollegeSide, manage current fundraising initiatives at Bethany CollegeSide Care Centre as well as at Bethany Sylvan Lake Care Centre. The incumbent is an experienced fundraising professional who has the ability to lead the strategy for a capital campaign, cultivate and solicit donations from both corporate and individual donors. The position is based in Bethany CollegeSide, Red Deer, Alberta. Responsibilities include:
- Understanding and promoting Bethany Care Society's values and priorities in all fund development activities
- Developing a Capital Campaign for CollegeSide Gardens
- Monitoring Capital Campaign and achieving fundraising goals
- Identifying, cultivating and soliciting donations for both Bethany CollegeSide and Bethany Sylvan Lake capital priorities
- Overseeing donor recognition activities and events
- Learning and becoming adept at using Raisers' Edge database
- Establishing networks in order to raise awareness in Central Alberta
- Following Bethany Care Foundation’s policies and practices
- Working both independently and collaboratively with Bethany Care Foundation staff and board as well as Bethany Care Society staff
Qualifications
- Five years proven fundraising experience in responsible positions
- Knowledge of current fundraising best practices
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Post secondary degree
